The conversation to improve High School Completion is made possible by the following organizations who believed that only by pooling their resources, could we actually start to tackle some key societal issues:

The impetus to our partnership came in 2005, when a community consultation, completed by United Way Calgary and Area, confirmed that no one organization or sector could solve issues facing youth, especially those living in vulnerable situations. Funders For Youth recognizes that by pooling our resources, sharing information and strategically aligning our priorities and practices, we can make a difference. Our goal is to ensure that youth, especially youth who face obstacles to success, have every chance possible to lead healthy, happy and productive lives.

The immediate focus of our work is improving high school completion. Once community commitment has been built in this area, we will set our sights on other priority issues affecting vulnerable youth.
